An article introducing our teeth

In a person's life, we will have two companions of teeth: the deciduous teeth period and the permanent teeth period. The existence of these teeth not only brings important functions to our chewing and expression, but also milestones in the journey of growth. Let's explore these two special stages together and better understand our oral health.

First, let's understand the deciduous teeth. From six months after a baby is born, deciduous teeth begin to emerge, totaling 20 teeth. These little companions show their true faces around the age of two. The arrival of deciduous teeth not only marks the beginning of the development and maturity of our teeth, but also the preparation stage for chewing food and pronunciation.

Our teeth growth journey does not stop here. At the age of six, we will face the challenge of permanent teeth, which will accompany us for life. The number of permanent teeth can reach 28-32, each playing a unique role in the tooth family. Compared with deciduous teeth, permanent teeth are no longer replaced, but firmly guard our dental arch.

By understanding the different stages of tooth growth, we can better care for oral health. Starting from infancy, parents should guide children to develop good oral hygiene habits. Gently brush the baby's deciduous teeth and give them careful care. As permanent teeth come in, we should guide children in mastering the correct brushing method, using age-appropriate toothbrushes and toothpaste, and paying attention to cleaning between the teeth and the oral cavity.

The health of teeth depends not only on personal care, but also on regular oral examinations. We should establish a good working relationship with dentists, understand each other's oral health conditions, and promptly identify and address potential problems.

Deciduous teeth and permanent teeth, they are both visitors in the world of teeth and witnesses of our growing years. Let us cherish every tooth, pay attention to the maintenance of oral health, and let our teeth serve us throughout our lives, bringing a perfect smile and a confident appearance.
